This site is all about “Bundala” a village in the district of Jalandhar, Punjab India. Once a thriving village in the district, with a high school, football team and attended by a very large number of students from the surrounding villages.
My last visit to the village was some 15 years ago and that it left a lasting impression on me. The village, appeared to have lost its soul.
Some of the most prominent people were born and lived in the village and went to the local schools. Many of those born in the village migrated to the large cities like Delhi & Mumbai seeking their fortunes and a many of them have migrated to different parts of the world.
Not many of them have returned to see what the village that gave them a start in life is itself in a poor state. Their children and grand children have only heard about the village but have never been there
